Our philosophy is at FLX Adventure Camp and Paddle-N-More to not just provide the best experience to our customers, but to be advocates and highly specialized instructors in the many recreational activities we participate in.

At FLX Adventure Camp and Paddle-N-More, we believe our employees should receive top-notch training. We offer training and certification in:
- American Canoe Association Instructor Training
- American Red Cross First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- And, so much more hands-on training
Jennifer is an outdoor recreational enthusiast and professional who loves sharing her passion with others. Her passion for the environment and thirst for the outdoors motivated her to change careers at the age of 35 and start her own recreation-based business. Jennifer has a B.A. in Communication Studies and an M.S. in Recreation with a focus in Outdoor and Environmental Education. Jennifer is an American Canoe Association and PaddleFit instructor and instructor trainer. Because she recognizes the need to provide safe learning environments for her customers, she believes in continuing education through her instructor certification program. On top of her American Canoe Association Instructor certifications, Wilderness First Responder and is a licensed trainer for CPR and First Aid through the American Red Cross.
In the off-season you can find Jennifer teaching our future recreation and outdoor adventure professionals at Ithaca College as an assistant professor in the Recreation and Leisure Studies Department where she enjoys teaching and sharing her knowledge and professional experience.
Although, Paddle-N-More and Finger Lakes Adventure Camp are her passion, Jennifer also teaches and leads outdoor excursions and adventures, such as backpacking, mountain biking, and backcountry travel. She loves to be outdoors and if the wind conditions are not right for paddling, you’ll often see her kiteboarding just off of the Myers Park location.
Bode is an avid outdoorsman and has been learning to play his entire life. From rock climbing to backpacking, paddling and much more; he really is a jack of all trades. Bode is an ACA certified instructor for both kayaking and standup paddleboard; he is also working to perfect his skills for his newest obsession in the world of whitewater. Bode grew up in Washington state; studied Environmental Science and Psychology at University of Redlands in California and got his Master’s in Outdoor and Environmental Education at SUNY Cortland here in New York State; needless to say, he likes to travel. He currently spends the school year teaching for SUNY Cortland as an Outdoor Activity Specialist and then summers here with us at FLX Outdoor Adventure Camp and Paddle-N-More to spread his love and passion for the great out-of-doors.
Assistant Camp Director
Lexi grew up outside playing on the shores of Cayuga Lake her entire life. Through her affinity for nature, Lexi decided to dedicate her life and career to outdoor education and recreation. She loves sharing all that she knows with others.
Lexi is a rising Junior at Ithaca College where she is working toward a degree in Outdoor Adventure Leadership with a minor in Business Administration. Lexi is an American Canoe Association certified instructor in both stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking, as well as being a Wilderness First Responder.
This will be Lexi’s 4th summer at Paddle-N-More and her 4th summer being involved with camps. Her spring semester coursework includes an 11-week Outward Bound course on the west coast where she will backpack, rock climb, whitewater raft, and continue building her leadership skills as an outdoor recreation professional.
She is looking forward to sharing her passion for the outdoors through adventure with the campers this summer!
